Sosis merupakan jenis daging olahan yang bisa dibuat dari daging sapi atau daging ayam. Kualitasnya juga beragam. Ada yang berbahan alami 100% dan ada juga yang memakai berbagai campuran bahan aditif. Ada yang dibungkus lapisan plastik dan ada juga yang dibungkus bahan makanan alami. Pilihlah sosis yang berkualitas bagus dan berbungkus bahan alami.
Sosis merupakan produk yang sudah matang. Baik dengan cara direbus maupundiasap. Sebaiknya jangan mengerat-ngerat atau memotong permukaan sosis saat dimasak utuh. Karena keratan akan membuat bumbu dan cairan dalam sosis yang sudah dibungkus rapat jadi keluar sehingga tekstur sosis menjadi kering dan kurang gurih.
